"I'm what you would call, Indoors-y"

Camping is for the Jones boys.
I'm gonna let the world know what I, Kara Jones, eldest of 5 girls, think of camping; -through the mouth of Jim Gaffigan.
Well said, Standing Ovation, Encore, thank you Jim for helping Quinton to understand where I'm coming from.
If I'm forced to go camping, I'll hike for exercise, I'll sleep (the +/- ions are always good) and I'll eat. But NOTHING ELSE.

This trip I didn't pack my suitcase, i didn't drive, I didn't help set up the tent, I didn't help build a fire, I didn't help cook, I didn't help clean up, I didn't help pack the car back up, and I certainly didn't unload the car. But I did do the dirty laundry cuz that camping smell has no place in my home.

Gibson loves camping, slept so well & all night! He was mesmerized by the campfire. He loved having Moby to explore the creek with.

So those of you that r looking to do a weekend get-away of the "camping nature" with the Jones' feel free to
UN-invite me, no hard feelings, I understand. I'll go to the spa and sleep in my cozy bed, take a hot shower/ use a flushing toilet. You can burn your vacay days sleeping on the ground, getting dirty, then trying to find somewhere to wash your hands- knock yourselves out.

P.S. Q is in the market for an interim camping wife. All potential candidates may post your comments here detailing your qualifications.

HAHAHAH!!! Thank u! had to show this to Rod b/c he does NOT understand what sucks so bad about camping! Jim forgot to mention how hard it is to be a girl and try to relieve yourself without it trailing down ur leg!!! I admit - night time by the campfire is pretty sweet, but that's why you build a pit in your backyard! Camping blows - let's go get a pedicure.

Kara, you are so funny. I do love camping, myself, but in no way want to be Q's wife while doing so. Too bad you don't like it... we found a great camping spot here. I can't believe you post every quarter and get after me for not visiting you online!!! Give the people what they want - more posts. Love you guys and we will see you Memorial Weekend in AZ.

HAha, you are a funny one Mrs. Jones. Thank you for gracing us with a new post. HA :) That video got me and Craig laughing, especially since he just asked me if we could go camping next weekend. Though, I don't mind it so much, as long as the guy does the cooking and most everything else. He wanted to camp in the desert and that's where I draw the line... HELLo NO! We already have to live in this stinking desert... the point of getting away is to... get AWAY! Am I right? I remember having a blast camping w you before, you've got some good memories! :) But yeah, not first choice for a vaca. Jazz is right, girls have it way worse!!!

This is FANTASTIC! Really, I have a few day max. then I feel disgusting. So when J and I have a life one day we can send boys camping and we will hit the spa for sure.

I can't believe you actually posted. What a gem. The camping humor made me laugh. And the pictures are great. GQ is getting so big! Give Moby a big hug from us.

You're cracking me up. I'll admit to feeling exactly the same way about camping... and having three trips scheduled in the next month (man, family and Church, just can't get out of those!) Ben doesn't understand it. Maybe our men should just go together. I think the boys would play in the fire even happier without us "mothering" them.

So funny! We always joked in the Halm family that our version of camping involved opening the hotel window. It's not exactly our thing. I've gone camping all of two times in my life (four if you count Lomia), and I find it highly overrated. I'm with Jasmine; pedicures instead! By the way, I love the new family picture. We miss you!

This was funny! I love camping but with a warm shower and a personal bathroom. It's called a motorhome or trailer. How's it going? You text me your blog address a long time ago. Your lil guy is so dang cute!

Amen to this post. Seriously. My husband keeps saying we need to go camping and I smile and nod thinking . . . OH PLEASE NO (especially while prego . . . talk about going to the bathroom in the middle of the night . . . five times!!) I love the outdoors, hiking and campfires are AWESOME . . . if I can sleep in my bed at the end of the day and shower. I will share this with my husband . . . maybe it will help him understand.

Since the beginning of time, the Durneys have been known as a non-camping and non-outdoors family. Too bad the Jones's have it in for you :)
My nephew is the greatest! :DD
